EzProtect Continues Security for Good Initiative, Expanding Support for Nonprofit Organizations and Global Community Leaders Through Cybersecurity Education and Conference Sponsorships

At EzProtect, we believe true security extends far beyond protecting data—it’s about safeguarding the people and causes that matter most. As we’ve grown our AI-powered malware and ransomware protection platform for Salesforce, we’ve consistently witnessed how the Trailblazer Community creates ripple effects that span continents. Today, we’re highlighting our ongoing commitment to this global network through continued support for nonprofit organizations, volunteer-led conferences, and emerging community leaders who are transforming lives through technology.

Supporting the Commons Open Source Innovation for Nonprofits

The Nonprofit sector represents some of the most important work happening on the Salesforce platform, yet these organizations often operate with the most constrained resources. The Open Source Commons program provides a vital platform for addressing technology challenges in the Nonprofit and Education sectors through collaborative innovation.

Through Community Sprint events, our Nonprofit community defines challenges and builds open-source solutions to share with each other. For almost 20 years, Nonprofit Trailblazers have contributed their Salesforce skills to help solve common challenges, ensuring others can see more success with the power of Salesforce.

However, resource constraints sometimes create unintended security gaps—often because organizations simply don’t know what they don’t know. At a recent Community Sprint, Matt encountered a nonprofit professional who had unknowingly created a security vulnerability while solving a licensing challenge. They had built custom objects for public-facing data collection, believing the information was secure because it wasn’t visible on the user interface.

“What I’ve learned is that many nonprofits are facing security challenges not by choice, but because they lack the resources to fully understand the implications of their technical decisions,” explains Matt Meyers. “This is exactly why we continue to support our nonprofit community with knowledge sharing wherever we can.”

This conversation led to Matt sharing his cybersecurity book with several nonprofit professionals at the event. Beyond individual interactions, EzProtect continues to author multimedia educational content available for anyone to access, ensuring that budget constraints don’t limit access to essential security knowledge.

The Power of Community: Jennifer’s Journey from Zimbabwe to Global Impact

When Jennifer Ndlovu was cleaning houses for a living after COVID-19 eliminated job opportunities in Zimbabwe, she could never have imagined that her determination to break into the Salesforce ecosystem would not only transform her own life, but inspire a movement that spans continents.

Jennifer’s transformation from house cleaner to Salesforce MVP winner illustrates the power of community-driven change. After losing her job during the pandemic, Jennifer invested everything into learning Salesforce. Despite earning only $500 per month, she scraped together funds for her admin certification

Today, as founder of the African Women in Salesforce Community and leader of the Trailblazer Community in Zimbabwe, Jennifer has created a network supporting over 100 people across Africa in their Salesforce journeys. Her biggest challenge mirrors what many community leaders face – scaling to help when resources are scarce. Many people she wants to mentor don’t have access to laptops, let alone expensive certification programs.

When Matt learned about Jennifer’s mission, he used proceeds from his cybersecurity book to help fund her trip to Dreamforce 2025. This support came from Jennifer’s own expertise and community leadership—she’s actively teaching and elevating others, and the global community benefits when leaders like Jennifer have platforms to share their knowledge and expand their impact.

Standing by Volunteer-Led Community Conferences

Supporting our global community means more than just occasional donations—it requires consistent investment in the volunteer-led events that keep our ecosystem vibrant and accessible. From Czech Dreamin’ to Architect Dreamin’, these community conferences provide opportunities for Trailblazers who cannot afford to attend TDX or Dreamforce to connect with peers, learn new skills, and advance their careers.

As businesses, it’s tempting to focus solely on ROI when evaluating conference sponsorships. But the true value of supporting volunteer-led events extends far beyond immediate returns. These conferences democratize access to Salesforce education and networking, ensuring that geography or economic circumstances don’t determine who gets to participate in our community’s growth.

Security for Good Protecting What Matters Most

At EzProtect, we’ve built our AI-powered malware and ransomware protection platform with a simple belief: security should be accessible to organizations of all sizes. When we see nonprofits implementing dangerous workarounds due to budget constraints, we’re reminded that cybersecurity isn’t just a technical challenge—it’s an equity issue.

Our Security for Good initiative reflects this understanding. We don’t just build products; we actively work to ensure that organizations doing important work have access to the protection they need. The threats facing Salesforce orgs today don’t discriminate based on budget or geography. Malware, phishing attacks, and ransomware can devastate any organization, but the impact is especially severe for nonprofits serving vulnerable populations.

The Trailblazer Community’s strength lies not in any single success story, but in the countless connections, mentorships, and acts of support that happen every day across our global network. Jennifer’s journey from house cleaner to community leader represents what’s possible when we invest in each other’s success.

At EzProtect, Security for Good isn’t just a marketing slogan—it’s a core value that drives how we engage with our community. We encourage every nonprofit to prioritize securing their Salesforce org as an essential investment in their mission. We challenge our fellow ISVs to support the volunteer-led conferences that keep our ecosystem accessible. And we commit to staying engaged with community leaders like Jennifer, ensuring that voices from every corner of our global network have the platform and resources they need to lift others.

Because in the end, we’re only as strong as the community we build together. And that community deserves nothing less than our full support.
